Overview

O-304 (O304) is a synthetic small molecule — not a peptide — that activates AMPK, the cell's energy sensor, developed by the Swedish company Betagenon. It has been researched for blood-sugar control, blood flow and heart function and as an "exercise mimetic", mainly in mice; the only human data is a small proof-of-concept phase IIa trial in people with type 2 diabetes on metformin, reported by the developer, in which fasting glucose and insulin resistance improved. That is early, limited evidence, not an established effect. It is not FDA-evaluated and is sold for laboratory research only; nothing here is medical or dosing advice.
