Overview

Vesugen is a synthetic tripeptide, lysine-glutamate-aspartate (Lys-Glu-Asp / KED), one of the short "peptide bioregulators" developed by Vladimir Khavinson's group in St. Petersburg, alongside livagen and cardiogen. It is framed as a vascular peptide: the published work covers endothelial cell culture in models of atherosclerosis and restenosis, stem-cell and fibroblast aging models, and a mouse model of Alzheimer's-related dendritic-spine loss. Human data are limited to small, uncontrolled Russian reports from the same group, such as before-and-after blood-flow measurements in 41 patients after surgery for lower-limb arterial disease, with no placebo-controlled trial and little independent replication. It is not FDA-evaluated and is sold only as a research chemical.
